Just Eat & Make It Cheaper
Make It Cheaper and Just Eat forge an exciting new partnership
Make It Cheaper has had the pleasure of partnering with takeaway giant Just Eat, bringing cheaper energy to its thousands of UK restaurant partners.
Just Eat is one of the pioneers of the online takeaway industry. Forging its roots back in 2001, it now operates in thirteen countries, connecting more than 74,000 restaurants with over 19 million customers globally. Just Eat enables consumers to place a takeaway order and pay for it online. Restaurants benefit from an online presence and exposure to thousands of customers.
In the UK, Just Eat has been the market leader since the brand was established here in 2006. To date, more than 28,000 of the country’s restaurants have joined the movement, deploying Just Eat’s technology to offer a huge choice of cuisines to the British public.
“Just Eat has been a trailblazer in its industry, leading the way by fulfilling a real niche when it comes to online takeaway ordering” says Sam Reynolds, Marketing Director at Make It Cheaper.
He continues: “Just Eat has a very engaged base of thousands of restaurant partners, many of whom use a great deal of gas and electricity – and are very likely paying over the odds for it. We’re delighted to be partnering with Just Eat, to bring cheaper energy to those restaurants. Our values are very much aligned, especially when it comes to promoting green energy through our offering. We’re proud to be joining their prestigious ranks of partners (including the likes of Coca-Cola and Amazon Web Services) and look forward to saving millions of pounds for the UK’s restaurants and takeaways together.”
Equally, Make It Cheaper is the number 1 business energy intermediary for in the UK, currently helping more than 45,000 of the country’s small businesses switch and save on their gas and electricity. Make It Cheaper is keen to extend its mission of putting smiles on the faces of Just Eat partners.
Robin Clark, Director of Restaurant Services at Just Eat said: “We’re hugely excited to be working with Make It Cheaper. They’re fantastic to work with and their commitment to their customers, mirrors ours to our restaurant partners. As well as saving restaurants and small businesses hundreds of pounds on energy bills, our collaboration with Make it Cheaper will also provide our partners with access to an exclusive green energy offering, via Squeaky Clean Energy. We know we can do a huge amount more together to help small businesses and are excited about what’s to come.”
