    According to a study of 2,000 workers, carried out by the Independent, more than half want their staff benefits to help improve their work-life balance and 49% want added extras to help them save money.

    “The benefits of flexible working are well established, from increased employee engagement to better performance,” says Natalie Pancheri, HR Policy Adviser at the London School of Economics (LSE).

    Now, technology makes it easier to work flexible hours, flexible working is becoming more and more popular.

    As part of the same study, workers of different age ranges were asked about which work perks are most valuable. Free tea and coffee is most valued by workers aged between 45-54, with over-55's the most likely to seek out an enhanced pension contribution. People aged between 18-24 report unlimited holiday days as the most attractive perk they think a company could offer.
