Free legal advice offered to SMEs
09/03/2010
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can access free legal assessments on any disputes thanks to a new service from the insurance firm Allianz Commercial.
Alliance customers will be entitled to the additional Allianz Legal Protection service, which aims to assist SME policyholders with potential contract and professional negligence disputes with the aid of a specialist commercial solicitor.
If the solicitor identifies that the case has merit, Allianz Legal Protection says it will act on a 'no win, no fee' basis.
Costly legal disputes can hit SMEs hard. Peter Dobie of Allianz Legal Protection said: "Where the customer has a valid case and is concerned about the potential costs involved in litigation, this service can mean the difference between just surviving and thriving."
He added that the new service will allow business owners to make well-informed decisions about whether to take legal action.
Almost half of small firms stated finance as one of their key concerns in a recent YouGov survey.
Make It Cheaper is the UK's leading business price comparison and switching service. Find out how you could get impartial, comprehensive and free information about overheads such as business electricity.
