It also advises turning off sign lighting and display lights when the shop is closed. Installing sensor lights that turn themselves off is also a great way to make sure energy is not being wasted once staff leave for the day.
Other tips include setting up your printers to print duplex (two-sided) as a default and print in black and white to save both paper and energy, and turning off PC monitors overnight.
Finally, it is always a good idea to shop around for a competitive energy deal, advises the site.
