How can you help save my business money on gas?
We search the whole business gas market to find you the best available deal. This will depend on a number of things, including your current contractual situation and your gas usage. Once you’ve switched or set up a new contract, you will know that you’re not overspending on gas and you’re improving your bottom line. If you set up a gas contract using our free and impartial service, we also make sure that you do not automatically
‘roll over’ onto an inflated rate when your fixed-term contract comes to an end.
How does your gas switching service work?
We have a short conversation enable us to understand your business gas needs. You can call us on our freephone number – or request a call back by completing the form on this page. We’ll need some details about your current contract – and if you’re in a position to switch, we’ll assess the business gas market and tell you all your contract options. If you go ahead and switch or set up a contract, we’ll sort out the administration for you. If you are not in a review window, we’ll talk to you about the making a saving in the future – and take a note on our system to contact you when the time is right.
How much can I save if I use your business gas switching service?
We don’t know until you get in touch – but on average we save businesses around £815 on their gas bills. Naturally, the higher your consumption, the more you stand to save – but if you’re currently on ‘deemed’ or
‘rolled over’ rates, the saving you make could be very big. Not only will we help with your current contract, we’ll help you save in the future by letting you know when it’s time to sort out a new one. Suppliers are not always proactive about getting in touch with you about this because they make more money if you do nothing at the end of your contract.
How is my business gas contract different to my domestic contract?
Unlike your domestic gas contract, which has no set end date, your typical business gas contract is fixed for a 1, 2, or 3-year period. This is the reason why domestic customers can switch regularly to secure more favourable rates. When a
business gas contract finishes, the customer has to be proactive about setting up a new contract – either with the current supplier or a competitor. Failure to act means the customer automatically ‘rolls over’ onto rates that can be up to 50% higher. Setting up a contract with Make It Cheaper minimises the risk of this happening, because it’s in our interests to contact you about finding an improved contract when your current one comes to an end.
Is your gas switching service impartial?
Yes – this is the number one factor that makes our service attractive. In fact, we would not be credible without our impartiality – and without it we would not have been able to save UK businesses more the £200m since 2007. Our aim is to help businesses reduce the price they pay for a range of overheads – and where gas is concerned we compare prices from the
‘Big Six’ companies, plus a host of smaller suppliers, to give customers the facts and figures they need to make an informed decision about their new, improved contract.
What other costs can you help me reduce besides business gas?
We compare the market for a range of business services, including
electricity,
landline,
broadband,
mobile phones and
chip and pin. We can also source
commercial insurance policies through our sister company Make It Cheaper Financial Services. Every service we provide is completely free and impartial. Our guarantee states that we will save you at least £500 if you switch three contracts with us – and if we don’t, we’ll pay you the difference.
