Massive range in business gas prices
The range in business gas tariffs across the UK
is so wide that some companies are paying two or three times as
much as others for the same amount.
The highest business gas prices are charged to those using gas
but caught out-of-contract (eg recently moved into a commercial
property) and the lowest business gas prices are charged to those
who have successfully switched over to new customer tariff with a
different supplier. Somewhere in the middle are the 'renewal'
business gas prices that suppliers charge their long-standing
customers once their initial contract term has expired.
Business gas prices apply to any customers in the UK that are
classed as neither residential nor industrial. Included in this
classification are shops, offices and small business premises as
well as voluntary/charity organisations such as community centres
and churches - all seen as businesses in the eyes of utility
companies.
"Had we not done something about our business gas
renewal quote, we'd be looking at bills two-and-a-half times
higher." Stephen Alexander, Helensburgh United Reform
Church
We've even helped the Society of British Gas Industries to
switch on to the most competitive business gas prices. The SBGI is
the trade association covering the whole of the onshore gas
industry and includes the Heating & Hotwater Industry
Council.
"…helped me to save SBGI a lot of money on our gas
bills. I would not hesitate to recommend your service to
everyone." Lucy Taylor, Society of British Gas Industries,
Kenilworth
For those in any doubt or just looking for an easy solution, we
offer a free service that checks current contracts
on your behalf, logs renewal dates and - during the notice window -
will contact you with the best available business gas prices (and
business electricity prices) in the market. This way, you avoid
being automatically rolled on to the higher business gas prices
when your contract expires.
