Online deals 'cheapest for business electricity'
11/03/2010
Online is always going to be the cheapest option for owners of small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) looking to reduce their business electricity bills, it has been claimed.
Emma Bush, spokesperson for uSwitch.com, said that while plenty of energy suppliers claimed to be the cheapest, the best deals for each individual company depended on a number of factors.
"Energy plans depend on your usage and your region, so it is very important you do a comparison that is individual to you," she explained.
Ms Bush added: "Regardless of prices going up or down, online is always the cheaper option."
A recent study by Ernst & Young suggested that investment in business energy infrastructure could be threatened by uncertainty over regulation caused by the impending general election - which could cause prices to increase.
Switching suppliers can reduce business energy bills by as much as 50 per cent, according to the experts at Make It Cheaper. Find out how you could get impartial, comprehensive and free information about overheads such as business electricity.
