Here's some good news for any business energy user who has ever run into problems with their supplier: Make It Cheaper offers a free service that allows you to hand over your issue to an impartial energy expert to try and solve. We are using our energy knowledge and influence with suppliers to take up cases on behalf of any business energy user - regardless of whether they have switched their supply with us in the past or whether they plan to do so in the future.

Businesses and charities receive far less consumer protection from independent bodies than domestic energy customers - but tend to encounter an array of problems with suppliers. Many issues crop up in the following areas:

  • Billing. For example, inaccurate first and final bills, sudden and unexplained Direct Debit increases, VAT disputes
  • Metering. For example, problems with faulty meters, inaccurate meter readings, questions about smart meters

  • We will contact the supplier within 24 hours and start solving your problem
  • If the problem proves complex, we will keep you updated on our progress via email on a weekly basis
  • We will deliver our conclusion to the problem within four weeks. If it's solvable, we'll solve it - but at the very least we'll offer you expert advice as to what to do next.

Just to be clear. This is a totally free service and you do not need to have switched your energy supply with Make It Cheaper to use it. Nor do you have to use us to switch in the future.
