Rush Hairdressers

Case Study - Rush"...saved us a lot of time, money and hassle."

  • Location: South East
  • Sector: Hairdressing
  • Saving: £21k

With 34 salons across London and the South East, 'Rush' is opening new sites at the rate of two a month and has a goal to open 200 over the next five years.

Rush contacted Make It Cheaper for help in what had escalated into a complex and time-consuming task - comparing utility prices for each site - particularly as some of its business electricity contracts were on much higher rates than others.

So far, Make It Cheaper has arranged new low-cost contracts on 27 meters across 20 of the sites, including many that were previously 'Out-of-Contract' and incurring the highest tariffs. The Group spend on electricity is just over £76,000 per annum and, based on the typical renewal offers from existing suppliers, estimate savings to be in the region of £21,000 / 27.5%.

Make It Cheaper also helps Rush's admin system by sending a regular spreadsheet with monthly spending, contract status and the end date. We've found the customer services of some suppliers to be better than others but none of them are particularly polite and we much prefer dealing with a broker.

Make It Cheaper have saved us a lot of time, money and hassle in a few short months. I now trust them implicitly to handle everything to do with our supply and billing, safe in the knowledge that it is in good hands and we are not being ripped off by the greedy energy companies.
